Ibis Styles Bucharest City Center is part of in Accor’s Planet 21 Programme and operates in favour of Positive Hospitality. Planet 21 reflects Accor’s objectives around four key goals: cooperating with its employees, involving its clients, innovating with its partners and working with local communities. Our CSR partners help them restore and develop organic orchards, so that old varieties of fruits don’t disappear.
To date, there are 7M trees planted worldwide through Plant for the Planet. Out of the total, 2.5 M trees are in Transylvania, Romania as of 2020. By the end of 2021, Accor x ALL aims to plant 10M trees.
Accor acts as a responsible tourism provider at a local and global level. The group has committed to the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative led by the United Nations, with the primary goal to remove all single-use plastics in its hotels by 2022.
As of 2019, the group cut most of its use of straws, cotton buds and stirrers. In 2020, all personal toiletry bottles will be replaced with dispensers. Plastic cups will disappear too. By 2022, all single-use plastics will be removed, such as toiletry sets, bottles, cleaning bags and access cards.
